Wg Cdr Soma Sundaram

Wg Cdr Soma is an aviation engineer with 28 years of experience working on various aircraft of the Indian Air Force. He has been trained in Israel on various drones which they have supplied to India and has been working on drones from year 2003. He is also a fellow of the Institution of Engineers and the Co-Founder and Director of Cyphysignals India Pvt Ltd

An open-minded professional, and enthusiastic problem solver, is known for his passion for creating win-win solutions. He was part of the Route Cause Analysis (RCA) Team investigating the Pathankot attack on the Airbase. His recommendations and design of multi-layered PIDS, were incorporated by GoI and various RFPS from Armed Forces were published. He has been the conceptualizer of various drones which he has built in his company.

He was one of the initial batch of officers trained in Israel as a drone pilot. He is a DGCA qualified drone Pilot in small category of drones. His patent on tethered drones have been published. He has designed and developed drones for videography, logistics, surveillance and for agriculture use

He is part of evaluation team for type certification of drones in Indian as part of TQ Cert a subsidiary of TATA Projects
